Tokelau Participating at the first Miss Pacific Island Pageant

Although Tautiti Tokelau cannot represent at the Pageant this year. Tokelau has been invited as the member of the Board for the Miss Pacific Island to take part at the first ever Miss Pacific Island Pageant in Faleata, Samoa.
 
Mrs Lise Hope Suveinakama represented the nation as not only the national Legal Advisor to the Tokelau Government but also the National Coordinator for (Fatupaepae) Women. The proud Tokelauan highlighted the importance of supporting these event around the region as it not only promote but develop young women but also it’s a level where the issues are heard.
 
“This event is a regional platform and a level plain field for pacific island countries to participate in and be represented through their young women, to enhance and strengthens their knowledge and skills, boost their confidence and capabilities and more importantly a great opportunity to promote issues of their countries and unique and prestigious cultures and traditions to the region and international communities”, say the National Coordinator, Lise Hope Suveinakama.
