MORNING WEATHER BULLETIN FOR TOKELAU ISSUED BY TOKELAU MET SERVICES TODAY AT 9:54 AM THE 15TH OF APRIL 2013.
NO WARNING FOR TOKELAU AND THE CENTRAL PACIFIC AT THE MOMENT
SITUATION: EASTERLY WINDS PREVAILS OVER ALL TOKELAU OPEN WATERS WHILE A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE IS MOVING TOWARDS THE TOKELAU ISLAND GROUP THE SOUTH.
Ø Tokelau weather systems shows at the moment, cloudy skies moving in from the South with a few scattered showers as Easterly winds prevails and Northerly swells continues.
Ø Forecast towards the late afternoon, cloudy skies increasing from the North with a few scattered showers as the trough of low pressure continue to move over the Tutolu Island group. Weakening Easterly winds turning Northeast and swells is forecast to turn East.
Ø Forecast from the late afternoon towards midnight tonight, Northeast winds prevails while the swells flow continue from the East. Partly cloudy skies remains and scattered showers mostly to the Southern parts of the Tutolu open waters. Will confirm this outlook in the afternoon weather bulletin.
Ø Easterly and turning Northeast winds of 5 to 15 mph is forecast for today.
Ø Swells from Northeast turning East of .05 to 1.5 meter is forecast for today.
