VACANCY:     SENIOR SUPPORT OFFICER – BDM/IMMIGRATION

DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORT AND SUPPORT SERVICES
 
An exciting and challenging vacancy waits for interested applicants in the Department of Transport and Support Services. Applications are invited from suitably and qualified applicants to the position of “Senior Support Officer”. The primary responsibilities of this position is  providing Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) and Immigrations Services to the public, and from time to time provide assistance to the Director of Transport and Support Services, and to the Operations Manager on Disaster Management issues.
 
Minimum qualification of certificate in legal studies and experience in legal works and civil registrations are required. The successful applicant must be motivated, have good command of written and oral communication both in English and in Tokelauan. Excellent computer skills – MS Word and Excel, and willingness to work in a multi-culture environment is also required.
 
The position is a permanent position based in Samoa, and you will be required to travel regularly to Tokelau and between the three islands from time to time. Salary is within the range of Step 16 ($12,243) – Step 19 ($15,120) of the Public Service Salary Scale.
