Son of the Pacific and Island Music Artist and songwriter Vaniah Toloa looks to release his 4th Album, ‘Tofi O Tamatane’ by the end of next month.
The cheerful Mr Toloa excited about releasing his new album believes that it’s an album with unique sounds that will soothe the heart and bring a tear to your eye.
I hope that many people will be blessed by this album. Each and every song holds a different meaning to me and they are all special for different reasons.
If you live in a culture like i do, you will definitely appreciate this whole album for its unique themes, feel and sound and especially for what it stands for. Different songs will mean different things for different people.
Its uniqueness is when you make the story in the songs your story then you will feel the heartbeat
of the Song writer. You will be taken away fora few briefs moments on a hard day.” Says Toloa.
"SONGS"
In his music, Mr Toloa shares about his culture, family and religious beliefs and has used his music to share his everyday experiences. He also stresses the importance of speaking and understanding your native tongues. (Tokelauan and Samoan)."GOD is a big part of my life and it is my desire to see that of the next wave of young musicians to come.
With Jesus, we can never go wrong. Music of diverse manner rave havoc everywhere having the mentality that music is about getting money, girls and parties. These outside influences goes against our CULTURE and is the perfect recipe for broken families.
Our FakaTokelau and Fa'aSamoa is so full of respect, honor and love. I ask the elders in one of the songs to please share with our younger generation their knowledge of the seas and the different fishing traditions and skills that they have so we can continue the cycle and guarantee future generations to come their right to our natural resources. Jewel sings to all the mothers back in the Islands to please show her what her role is as a young Pacific Island woman. So many kids lose their lives to drugs and I sing about my encounter with a friend that nearly lost his life to it in one of the songs. PRIDE is one of the most deadliest reasons why Pacific Islanders are losing their lives in America. You can lose your life just like that when your PRIDE is not channeled correctly. I sing of what it means to have the country of your ancestors kept in your heart and bringing it out the right way to show who we really are. I have a beautiful Tokelauan wedding song in there too.
I also have a special song that is dedicated to all families and friend of those who have recently passed away. This is a little prview of just a few of the songs.
There is so much more so to get it all, just buy the album and listen to it carefully.” He added with a laugh.
The humble artist have confirm that there will be a tour after releasing his album and the pacific will be first.
The albums will sold at the Inalani Catering at Vaisigano with more sales outlets to be made known upon release.
"THANK YOU"
I just want to thank God for this amazing talent that he's blessed me and Jewel with. To my amazing parents, Aliki Faipule Amituana'i Foua Toloa and Fesola'i Logomalieimatagioautu Tepa Faletoese Toloa. I am so blessed to have been raised up by you. Every lesson you've blessed me with will all come out in this humble music I make. I wish you nothing but blessings, long life good health. I love you! To my biggest fan in the whole world. My sister Jewel Luti Toloa.haha She’s truely been amazing not just
as a vocalist but as a person. I know she's my sister and it might sound bias, but to be totally honest, the songs that she sings lead for in this album are beautifully sung. She sets the bar higher for me vocally and is a blessing in the making of this album.
The music instruments, arrangements and mixing. Big fakamalo to Hemi Solomona and Victor Keil. They have made this album sound the way it does. Smooth, soothing and "Island" as I always put it.
Fakafetai lahi lele to everyone that supports this humble music. I know it’s been a while since the last album, but hey, thank God it’s done now. I have nothing but love, respect and blessings to every family on Tokelau, Samoa and and Tuvalu and to every Island Nation in the ends of the earth, the Pacific.
